More Delays Ugh!

(Laura)
Well, no court date yet. Igor has done everything short of becoming a judge himself simply to complete this process. Our papers have been submitted to the court early and fully complete and still they can't give us a date. THey say that they legally have 10 days in order to consider the case and give us a date! The head judge even growled (yes I said growled) at Igor and told him to stop harrasing the court. We have tried chocolate, flowers are next I suppose, and this after Igor has had "special" conversations with many people involved. Trying ask "why" about anything here is totally fruitless so we are trying to just enjoy our orphanage visits and know the Lord is in control. His timing is perfect but we would really like to go home sooner rather than later as Rob only has a few more day of vacation left for the year! We are hoping not to have to go home and come back when they finally decide that they must give us a date to appear. I don't think I could leave the boys here and not be able to visit them. As we know though there must be a purpose and plan for everything so we continue to wait and pray.
Rob went to the hospital today to have his leg looked at by the "doctor". That was pretty interesting. They suggested putting it in a cast! I almost laughed but thought it would be rude. I have never heard of putting a swollen apendage in cast. Well at least that was better than the rubber band idea from the Apteka person. We opted for the ace bandage and some sort of cream along with some kind of powder that is supposed to be disolved in water and act like Ibuprofen. We did learn however that it is a torn ligament and that the swelling will go away once it repairs itself. He is supposed to stay off of it but that is a little hard to do and able to get to the court to harrass them and also to see the boys. At least the doctor visit was free. That's the first thing we have run across so far where we didn't feel like we were throwing money out of our pockets every time we turn around. And better yet, there were no lines and no waiting! Perhaps they would be willing to hear our case at the hospital. That was my attempt at humor and/or sarcasm. Rob is much better at that part.
Our visits with Yuri and Vanya have been going well. We continue to attract a crowd and it gets increasingly hard to leave. Particularly now that the boys don't want us to leave either. All the way up to that last minute Vanya would ask for something else or want to look in the toy bag simply to stall for time. We think he understands a lot of what we say and he responds well too. Yuri is excited to see us most times and asks us when we are coming back. He was a little distant the last time because we hadn't been there for 2 days and hadn't told him that ahead of time. He is pretty perceptive but readily hugs us now and I can tell he doesn't like when we leave.
Rob tells me it is time to leave the internet cafe so I will have to post some more pictures next time. Continued prayer is requested and appreciated!
Much love to all,
Laura and Rob

Laura & Rob,
We are enjoying your blog and pictures, the boys are precious. The problem is just getting them home! We pray for a court date soon. Our judge grumbled, too, but you know how it goes, the squeeky wheel...so hope you hear SOON!!
Keep hanging in there..
Blessings,
Debbie & Dale
