Adoption, Its a Global Thing

Rob Speaking)
Dobre Dain, from sunny Zaporozhe. Let's see, what's new? Visits with Yuri and Vanya are going well. If Travis, Crystal, and Mayra are reading this, then you better sit down. Laura has turned into a cream-puff. These kids have her totally wrapped around her fingers, and it is a beautiful sight to see. I'm not just talking about our kids, but all the kids who seem to flock to us. Laura singing "Little Bunny Foo Foo" to 10 kids with all the hand jestures and facial expressions was priceless. It would have either made a great human interest story or won money on America's Funniest Home Video. I, on the other hand, had about 5 little boys who thought they could take down King Kong (no Christine, not the lizard, the big ape). It made me feel a little bit younger to know that I could still have 3 or 4 of them hanging off my arms, and I could still lift them.

Yuri was a little out of sorts today, we believe because he found out that he would not be going to Italy since he would be going to America with us. Even though he was a little out of sorts, he still didn't want us to leave. He did however get to have a brief conversation with Travis, I'm sure they were both confused, but I enjoyed it.

Visits with the kids are always great, but its what we did after the visits that was a lot of fun. We actually got to have dinner with adults who understood us. Its amazing, its incredible. We got to have dinner with out new friends from Georgia USA, Italy, and Israel. We had pizza, drinks, and a lot of laughter. We have an Italian dinner planned for the 4 couples on Saturday which I am really looking forward to. After talking to Giovanni and Maria about food, I developed a healthy appetite and put away more than my share of pizza. I'm quite sure we raised more than a few Ukrainian eyebrows since we were probably quite loud for them. Oh well, at least this time they can't just blame it on the loud Americans, we had an Internation Coalition making noice. This could be considered a G-3 summit and the resolution we reached could solve world hunger, just order more pizza.

Fat, Dumb, and Happy,

Rob and Laura

Hey guys don't you think it's time to come home? The grass around your house is getting long. :)

No...haven't been to your house but we do miss you guys!

The small group has continued on picking up Chris & Nancy Jones (I think you were there on their first visit.)

You are in our prayers. Glad to hear your spirits are high and God has each day planned and under control. We're looking forward to seeing the whole family soon!

How cool...great post! It's great that you are having a good time, seeing other English speaking people AND bringing some joy to those kids. We never tried singing - which is an international language on its own...but always admired people who could do it!!!
We know that your days are full, but...with no mention of the diaper-head quest today, we wonder if you think we have forgotton about this much-anticipated event?
Ha, hang in there, we're with you....

Just wanted you both to know that I've been catching your blog whenever I can and that I'm in awe of what you're doing. The kids sound great and they are truly getting two of the most loving, caring parents God has to offer. Bless you both and you're all in my prayers. Cindy McGuire
