Wow, we made it. we arrived Saturday just after 11am. Aerosvit was actually an excellent airline. Thanks to the kindness of the lady at the check in counter we were able to get an exit row.....love that leg room. We got some sleep on the plane, but not much. Anatolli met us at the airport and helped us get out of the airport quickly. Nickolai was our driver, and did a great job geting us to the apartment in one piece. It was a very nice ride. Juri met us at the apartment and helped us get settled. He also took us to the market where I struggled to keep Laura out of the chocolate isle, stress I guess.
Our apartment looks out over an open air market place, we wanted to go , but we were too tired after the trip, and once I (Rob) took a shower, it was all over. We can look out our window and watch guys washing peoples cars on the street, and people selling either dried or smoked fish from a table.
Travis would love Ukraine because of all the beautiful women, since there are so many, he is not allowed to come here. Sorry Crystal and Mayra, not much here for you to see.

Today we took a taxi to meet Lesley @ church. It was a wonderful time of praise and worship. Guess what, they sing the same songs we do, and it was in English. The pastor was from Wisconsin, he was good, but not as good as Pastor Mark. We also went out for some lunch and shopping. I had the Borscht, Chicken Kiev, salad, Vareniky(looks like Perogie), Laura and Lesley and McDonalds, how adventurous. We went to the downtown shopping area, and Laura shopped until I dropped. She single handedly kept the economy moving forward. We got really cool gifts for almost everyone. We then passed by St. Michaels and St. Andrews cathederals, the Parliment building, and Sophia's Square. We met Sara, Adrian, their mother and daughter for dinner at TGIF. We tried to drink all the soda and water that they had, we were thirsty.
Tomorrow is our big day. Juri picks us up at 9:30 and we will have our appointment @ 10am. Pray for us and the people at the SDA. We have a real sense of peace and Juri has told us how nice they really are at the SDA.
We are hoping to get together with the Henry's for dinner tomorrow, pray that all their appointments tomorrow go well.
Be blessed, and take care of the country in our absence,
Rob and Laura

Laura & Rob,
Glad you had a comfortable flight and arrived safely. So much for sleeping on the plane, leg room or not! We are praying for you for your appointment at the SDA. Guess another night of no sleep! Can't wait to hear how it goes...
Blessings,
Debbie & Dale
