Cool new activities

The boys are learning how to do all kinds of new activities. Here are just a few. They got giant coloring books to color in but Vanya has already been relegated to just the colored pencils. Markers were too much of a temptation to draw on everything BUT the pages. They love to use their scissors though and the tape and stapler are still an amazement as well. We have also had a cookie baking extravaganza where each one had to make a different kind and be "in charge" of pushing buttons and getting the cookies off the tray. Thanks to grandma we have found a great website called starfall that is great at teaching letters and such. All the boys like to play on that one and they can do it themselves.

All the boys will be playing sports this fall and love their new shoes. No cleats Vanya's size but he got some light up Sesame Street ones that he was just as happy with. Veecha is convinced that his cleats will make him super fast and we made a video of him going around the island in the kitchen. It was pretty funny.

The Chinese buffet was interesting as well. All the ooohs and aghhhs and big eyes over all the food was great. Other people might not have thought it was so cute but we did. I think their favorite part was sitting on the lions outside though.

We just took them on a paddle boat this past weekend and they thought that was really fun. We got stuck on a root and had to pulled by the rescue canoe staff. That was a first for us too! They boys told the rescue people "Boat broken ve go vith you". They were going to ditch us just like that! Once we explained they were going to pull us off the root and we could paddle again then they decided not to go with the canoe crew. They were asking if we were going swimming in the lake and if they could drink the water. Obviously the answer to both was no but it was interesting that that was what they were thinking. Everything was soooo cool and every bird and fish and frog had to be investigated thoroughly. It was a lot of fun.

Great update! Yes it is the little things that the boys appreciate (like food and new shoes and such) that keep reminding me of what a bounty we have!
